To ensure that C.O.D. has a competitive edge, one of the primary channels our company will utilize will be Search Engine Optimization. C.O.D. will invest in our Search Engine Optimization with Google, a leading search engine, to ensure that our company will be within the top five digital distributors within the music industry for independent artists. When looking for digital distribution options, C.O.D.'s target audience is familiar with utilizing Google as a chief search resource.
One of C.O.D.'s main goals is to develop a reputation as a distribution company devoted to the rise of the independent artist. To further assist in this endeavor, C.O.D. will seek to capitalize additional promotion and advertisement through Social Media and Viral Marketing campaigns that will provide consumers/artists with insightful information about enhancing their promotional and marketing skills. Our partnerships with Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter will offer prospective clients a closer connection with C.O.D. through forums and instant messaging, further enhancing our mission towards becoming the leading interactive digital distribution company in the world. Within the Social Media Market, C.O.D. will also seek to utilize this as an opportunity to provide promotional information about services, as well as, discount coupons for our services. The Viral Market will provide inquiring individuals with a visual representation of C.O.D.'s quality of work, further enhancing our consumer network. Lastly, the Viral Market will ensure a stronger pool of returning artists/clients, as we promote selected clients' recorded materials to increase the public/consumers' desire for more independent music.
Lastly, the most vital channel for marketing for C.O.D. will be Email. This will allow C.O.D. to formally connect with prospective clients and provide them with new information and services that will assist them in their distribution needs. Through Email, clients can benefit from many promotional incentives that will be offered throughout the year. Our Promotions and PR department will seek to connect with the public in a personal manner that leaves individuals with a personal connection about C.O.D.'s desire to promote and distribute their products electronically.
Because C.O.D. is focused on digital distribution, it is vital that our company maintains the integrity of our overall identity within the digital music industry. In doing this, our marketing department has seen it fit to omit the utilization of certain marketing channels. At this time, C.O.D. will not use Paid Search/Pay-Per-Click advertising methods until the success of our initial Social Media and Viral Marketing campaigns are assessed. If it is deemed that the target audience has not been reached, the Paid Search advertising approach will be integrated throughout the duration of the campaign. Because C.O.D. is an internet/digital system, the primary marketing strategies will use internet/digital channels, and thus, Promotion/PR and Display Advertising that are not done within the digital sector will not be considered at this time. Our target audience (artists/producers seeking digital distribution) are more likely to search for and become connected to our services through digital channels versus traditional means of Promotion/PR and Display Advertising. Lastly, Affiliate Marketing will not be used at this time because C.O.D.'s business plan offers all the necessary services in house, which mitigates the need for Affiliate Marketing with other companies that are outsourced.
Campaign Budget
The allotted budget for our campaign will be $75,000. From the $75K, $40K will used in the development of C.O.D.'s Viral Market. These funds will be apportioned for the creative development of many of our video productions that will display the company's services and showcase interviews with leading marketing gurus within the music industry. The remaining $35K will be utilized in the development of promotional content that will be distributed in emails and via our social media networks. To minimize our costs, C.O.D. will seek to manage these channels in house. To ensure that our campaign has the greatest success, our promotional and creative team will dedicate 960 hours in development and management of our campaign to ensure that C.O.D. meets the visual demands and interactive connectivity that will make our company the number one choice for our clients.
Campaign Duration
To ensure that C.O.D.'s goals and objectives are met, our marketing campaign will be an ongoing process. To ensure a successful launch however, C.O.D. will work diligently for the next six months in the development of content design and video production to ensure that we will provide a strong awareness of our services to the consumer. Our campaign will be ongoing as a means to maintain the integrity of our mission and maintain an awareness within the consumers eyes, as being the leader in digital distribution.
